More room, or on a phone

  • Click the arrow at the top of the sidebar to shrink it to icons.
  • On a phone, tap the menu button (top left) to open it.

Search with ⌘K

Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) on any page to jump to a tool, a page, or a setting. With Analytics, you can search your posts too.

Getting started and App Tours

If you have Analytics, the gold Getting started row in the sidebar shows your next step. Open it for your to-dos (Get your numbers, Connect your blog, Set up your writing style, Pick a post to update, and an optional Sync your earnings) and the App Tours: 1-minute walkthroughs of each part of the app. Tours need a computer.

Hid it? Open Settings > Account and click Show the guide next to Getting started guide.

The strip on Home

When your numbers first come in, Home shows a gold strip, Your numbers are in. If you already had numbers, it says New: a quick tour of the app. Click Show me around for the 1-minute Home tour, or No thanks. It shows once.

First time on a tab

Traffic, Promotion, Opportunities, Updates, and each post's page offer their tour the first time you open them: Take a 1-minute tour or No thanks. Home has the strip instead, and the Blog Post tour starts from Posts.

Pause, skip, or resume a tour

Press Escape or the X to pause. Getting started then shows the paused tour with Resume. Skip tour ends it; you can take it again any time from App Tours.

"Your numbers aren't in yet"

Some tours need something to show. If your numbers aren't in yet, or Opportunities or Promotion is empty, the tour stops with a note. Try it again after your next sync.
