Google access expired

If Analytics says Google stopped accepting the connection, reconnecting takes a few seconds and your data is safe.

Google stopped accepting this connection. The card says Google access expired. Click Reconnect Google. Don't worry, your data is safe and will pick up where it left off.

Where you'll see it

  • A red Reconnect Google note at the right of the Analytics tabs, where it usually says "Synced".
  • A red banner on Home: your numbers are from before Google stopped accepting the connection.
  • The Google access expired card in Personalization, under Analytics.

Click Reconnect Google in any of them and sign in with the same Google account.

Why it happens

Usually because access was removed in your Google account, or after you changed your Google password. Nothing has synced since then, and your synced history is kept.

Note

Asked to Open Analytics with your password instead? That's your Food Blog Studio sign-in, not Google. See Analytics error messages.
